How do I count thee? Let me count the ways?

Transgender Day of Visibility

March 31 is Transgender Day of Visibility. I’m not transgender myself, but I have friends, acquaintances, and family members...

About me

Hi.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Math from Queens College (NYC), a Master's degree in Applied Math from the University of Virginia, a Master's degree in Educational Technology from New Jersey City University, and most recently a Master's degree in Data Analytics from Southern New Hampshire University.  I have worked for many years as an actuary in the insurance business, and I hold several insurance designations that I earned via passing exams, including Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.  I have been teaching math online for over ten years. I have ventured out of my comfort zone to do five minute Ignite style talk on Cartoons in Math Class, Order of Operations, Mathematics of Love, Data Science on The Titanic, and Math on the Simpsons. I have three terrific sons and a terrific girlfriend, none of whom has the slightest interest in math.  There is a lot going on in Data Science nowadays - don't get left behind! You can see some of my videos at https://www.youtube.com/user/fcas80, some of my Scratch projects at https://scratch.mit.edu/users/fcas80/, or email me at fcas@aol.com
